It has been a pleasure to get to know more of you. In 2010 we honoured those members who have been retired 25 and more years. While many were unable to attend a "tea", we were glad that those attending shared aspects of their careers and retirement and gave permission for information to be published in the Western Connection and on the website. Many thanks to Mim and Larry Hunt and Jim White.

 

Jean Lehmann, through cards or phone calls, has remembered those members who have celebrated their 90 th and over birthdays.

 

Thinking of you cards were sent several times a year to our more senior members, some of whom are living in care homes. Get well cards were sent when we were informed of illness.

 

RTO pens were given to new members at our Christmas and AGM meetings.

 

We are saddened by the deaths of ten members/spouses since Jan. 2010.

 

We are very thankful to Jim White who has served so capably as our webmaster and editor and wish him the best as he has more time for his many interests.
